ESC - Low Voltage Cutoff

Electric planes use an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) to control the speed of the motor. The ESC also has a built-in feature, Low Voltage Cutoff, to protect the LIPO battery from low voltage operation. Discharging a LIPO battery near 3.0 volts per cell can result in permanent damage to the battery. So, the ESC will cut off power to the motor when the LIPO voltage drops to about 3.4 volts per cell.
